Utility Engineering Designer
Location : Raleigh NC
Position Description
The open position is to perform design support for relocation, adjustment, removal, and addition of utilities along NCDOT highways and rights of way. Experience in developing utility relocation strategies and providing coordination and relocation services to accomplish removal, relocation, and modification of utility facilities (water, sewer, gas, electric, telecommunication, etc.) impacted by highway improvement projects including the development of Utility Relocation Agreements and acquiring Encroachment Agreements from utility owners.
Requirements
The applicant should have an ability to use computers for office work (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Bluebeam, and experience with CAD (MicroStation, GEOPAK). Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field of engineering from an appropriately accredited institution and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
