Brunswick County Schools Athletic Field Improvements

WK Dickson was part of a multidiscipline team for the design and engineering of multiple athletic projects including football field houses, wrestling additions, soccer fieldhouses, and football field replacements at three high schools in Brunswick County, NC. At each facility, a football field house was designed to provide locker rooms, coaches’ offices, and concessions.

Site amenities included parking, emergency vehicle access, and pedestrian access. The football field replacement proposed at one of the high schools included re-grading of the field, turf selection, and irrigation design. WK Dickson also led the permitting effort for the NC DENR Erosion Control Permit, Technical Review Committee (TRC) approval in Brunswick and Leland Counties, and stormwater permitting and control.
