Millbridge, located 15 minutes southeast of Charlotte, NC, is a 900-acre master-planned community designed to produce a healthy environment with abundant nature and family-focused amenities, vast amounts of open green space, and an iconic covered bridge crossing over Twelve Mile Creek. The community is just minutes from large employment and entertainment hubs, including Ballantyne and Fort Mill, SC, but is surrounded by the small-town charm of Waxhaw.

Project Details

The community was voted NC Community of the Year by the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) in 2017. The development has a host of award-winning features, including walking trails, parks, playgrounds, an aquatic playground with a junior Olympic pool, waterslide, splash pad, lazy river, and a community house with a full-service café, library, lounge, catering kitchen, outdoor fireplace, fitness center, movie theater, and unique event space. Millbridge includes approximately 2,000 residential lots.

WK Dickson provided comprehensive land planning and engineering design services for the development, including master planning, conditional use permitting and rezoning process, lot grading plans, roadway design, sanitary sewer design, storm drainage and stormwater pond design, water supply system and pump station design, builder lot fit plans and overall construction administration.
